You know that moment when you're out running errands, at dinner, the airport, and suddenly have to go to the restroom and you need to go NOW? You make a mad dash to the nearest public bathroom only to change your mind because you know it's not clean. Maybe it's just me and my own paranoia. At home you don't think about it. You know it's clean. Sanitized. All in the comforts of your own home and peace of mind. I know this is not a typical article, but considering how much traveling I do and the likelihood that many of us will run into a public restroom, I thought I'd touch on the subject.
I won't even lie, there have been many times when I wouldn't use a restroom because it was so gross. Oh, and sitting down on the toilet seat? You can forget about it! No way! I have a good friend who won't even use the toilet at someone's home. It is that serious! Holding it isn't healthy either because it's not good for the bladder, but you're willing to take your chances and wait until you get home.
How about those of us with children? We know you only have a moment to decide what you're going to do when you hear the words, "I have to go potty." Do you hold them up and risk potentially being peed on or hope and pray the bathroom has toilet covers so you can grab a FEW and put them down?
